Sustainability
Woodland is committed to
reducing our carbon footprint
Sustainability is an increasing focus across the construction and insurance sectors, driven by evolving client, insurer and regulatory requirements. During 2026, Woodland Commercial is strengthening its approach in response to these expectations, including insurer-led ESG surveys and public-sector requirements such as PPN 06/21.
We are currently engaging with external sustainability specialists to better understand our environmental impact and to ensure our approach remains proportionate, practical and aligned with the way we operate.
reduce and reuse.
Woodland Commercial is committed to reducing our carbon footprint and operating in a way that supports a healthier natural environment.
We recognise that sustainability in construction is an ongoing process. Our focus is on understanding our environmental impact, improving how we operate, and embedding more responsible practices across the business as we grow.
our approach
During 2026, Woodland is placing increased focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility. We are currently working with specialist sustainability consultants to better understand our full carbon footprint and to help shape a structured, measurable approach to carbon reduction.
Our approach includes:
Reviewing operational travel and identifying opportunities to reduce unnecessary journeys
Improving material selection and waste management practices where practical
Exploring more sustainable construction methods and supply chain options
Minimising disruption to local communities during all project phases
This work will inform longer-term targets and actions, ensuring our approach is proportionate, credible and aligned with industry expectations.
